OLT is Hiring a Marketing & Development Manager
Ozark Regional Land Trust (dba Ozark Land Trust or OLT) is seeking a Marketing & Development Manager.
Marketing & Development Manager Salary & Job Description
This position is an at-home, virtual position, located in or near the Ozarks region of Missouri and Arkansas, with some travel through the region.
This may be a full-time or part-time position, depending on the successful candidate’s situation. The full-time position would pay in the $40,000-$45,000 range plus benefits. Location in the Ozarks region is required.
OLT is a nonprofit land trust, a type of conservation organization that protects and restores private and public lands and water for conservation, agricultural, open space, natural, cultural and/or community values. OLT operates throughout the Ozark region, primarily in Arkansas and Missouri, and currently permanently protect over 31,000 acres of forests, farms, ranches, open space, community spaces, watersheds and more.
OLT has been in continuous operation since 1984. OLT is a nationally accredited land trust, meeting rigorous standards and practices to determine compliance with performance expectations in a number of areas, including conservation transactions, governance, and finance.
OLT does outreach to the public, our partners, our supporters and others through a variety of methods. We hold regional and annual in-person member and supporter meetings; have a website, ozarklandtrust.org (WordPress); offer regular emails to supporters (MailChimp); maintain a social media presence on Facebook and Instagram, offer two print newsletters a year, and have other in person and virtual contacts throughout the year.
OLT receives and seeks support from individuals, family and other foundations, government agencies and corporations. We seek support for our annual operations, and for specific programs and projects. We utilize a dedicated donor database application (Little Green Light) and have recently added donor information software to our toolkit as well.
Experience & Education
OLT is seeking a candidate with 2-4 years of experience in either nonprofit marketing or development, or both, with an interest in the conservation sector. Knowledge of and experience with nonprofit marketing or development, social media, email and other outreach tools, donor database tools, and working with supporters and donors are important to the employees success. The ability to work virtually and independently is preferred, but frequent Zoom interaction with fellow staff members is provided to create connection opportunities as well. A college degree is highly preferred.
Because this position could be part-time, this may present an ideal opportunity for a professional who has their own set of clients and would like to retain key clients while transitioning into a potential full-time opportunity. OLT would expect a part-time position to comprise at least two- thirds of the time of a full-time position, with some mild flexibility in that regard.

While the tasks for this position will be flexibly tailored to the successful candidate, we anticipate the tasks will primarily focus on the following:
- Develop and manage a marketing and development plan
