Loring graduated from the University of Central Missouri with a B.S in biology/chemistry, and from Missouri State University, Springfield, MO with a Master of Natural and Applied Science. He is the Watershed Planning/Grant Assistant, for the James River Basin Partnership. Prior to that, he was Executive Director of Watershed Committee of the Ozarks, a non-profit organization established to monitor and protect public drinking water for Springfield and Greene County MO. He has also served as adjunct faculty at Drury University, Springfield MO and with the Ozarks Environmental and Water Resources Institute, Missouri State University. Loring has a strong personal interest in protecting the land, air and water quality for future generations. His goal on the OLT board is to see more and larger conservation easements in place as a long-term protective tool. Loring resides in Springfield, MO
