Joe received his Bachelor’s Degree in Geology from Ohio University, and his Masters and Doctoral Degrees in Geological Sciences from Northwestern University. Before his retirement in 2016, Joe was the Assistant Director for Science and Technology for the Missouri Department of Natural Resources where he oversaw all reviews of Natural and Wild Area Programs, applications, amendments and actions. Joe has a long-term interest in land trusts and their role in preserving and protecting lands in perpetuity. His diverse experience in land management and natural resource damages decisions in addition to experience writing easements as a land trust board member will serve him well in his role in the OLT board. Joe resides in Columbia, MO
