David Haenke is the Executive Director and the primary forest manager of Alford Forest, a 3200-acre forest owned by Ozark Regional Land Trust. David moved to the Missouri Ozarks in 1971 to work in ecological forest management and conservation. He grew up in Michigan, and graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in English Education. He taught high school English. David brings to the board a broad range of experience in forest advocacy, management, and conservation.
David serves on the board to assist ORLT and its unique mission to conserve land in a ecologically defined service area, the Ozark. His goal is to do all he can to help ORLT and Alford Forest be sustainable well into the future.
