Larry Levin, Executive Director

Levin brings substantial professional and community leadership experience to the position. An attorney by training, he has served in nonprofit and business management capacities in real estate, conservation, and communications. He succeeds retiring Executive Director Peggy Horner.

Most recently, Levin has led his own consulting company, Larry Levin STL, LLC, and founded the digital news site STL Nonprofit News, which provides podcasts, stories, and other resources about the St. Louis region’s nonprofit landscape. His past professional nonprofit work includes service as Publisher/CEO of the St. Louis Jewish Light news organization and as St. Louis Office Director for the National Trust for Public Land.

Levin has served as board president of the Ladue Education Foundation, St. Louis Civic Orchestra, and Missouri Coalition for the Environment, and has been a member of a number of other boards.

abigailAbigail Lambert, River Stewardship Manager

Abigail has worked for Ozark Land Trust since 2001.  Her primary assignment is to develop and administer land and river protection in the upper Meramec River watershed.  Abigail assists private landowners to find and tailor conservation tools that meet their needs and at the same time protect the natural resources of the property. Abigail was born and raised in St. Louis.

She has a bachelor's degree in Political Science from University of Arizona and a master's degree in Environmental Management from Duke University.  Before returning to St. Louis and joining OLT in 2001, she served as the sole staff person with Lower Shore Land Trust in Maryland for four years. Abigail’s love of birds started in Maryland and is one of the reasons she loves working at OLT and protecting bird (and other wildlife) habitat in the Ozarks.

Haley has worked for Ozark Land Trust since 2022. She assists private landowners find and tailor conservation tools that meet their needs and at the same time protect the natural resources of the property.

Haley earned a bachelor's degree in wildlife biology, and has previously worked in conservation in the Ozarks with the Watershed Committee of the Ozarks prior to joining OLT. She's also worked in Minnesota, Alaska and Oregon before coming back to the Ozarks.

Taylor Dye stewards and monitor many of OLT’s conservation easements.

Taylor has worked at the Watershed Committee of the Ozarks as their Lead National Park Service Conservation Specialist. She has worked on prairie restoration, prescribed burns, trail building and more. She holds a degree in Environmental Biology and Evolution from Missouri State University.

She resides in and will work from her in the greater Springfield, MO area.

Michelle Scherer, Conservation Project Manager

Michelle Scherer holds a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resource Management in Forestry from Southern Illinois University.
She has professional experience as an urban forester, was an ISA Certified Arborist for 15 years, and is a Master Gardener.  She has assisted in vegetation and fuel load surveys for the U.S. Forest Service, and urban tree inventories in the St. Louis area.
Additionally, she has provided administrative and organizational support to the Missouri Botanical Garden, Shaw Nature Reserve, and the City of Wildwood Public Works and currently serves as the Conservation Project Manager for Ozark Land Trust.

Eric Gramlich, Outreach and Partnership Manager

Eric brings 30 years of environmental and natural resource experience to Ozark Land Trust. After receiving his B.S. in Forestry, Fisheries, and Wildlife from the University of Missouri, Columbia, Eric spent a career with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.

He held various positions, most recently as leader of the Department’s Natural Resource Damages Assessment and Restoration team. In his current role with OLT, Eric is focused on outreach and partnership efforts including developing landowner relationships and collaborating with a broad group of stakeholders interested in land preservation.

Based in Central Missouri, his efforts focus on the conservation of lands within the Meramec River Basin.
